چکیده

Abstract Introduction Recurrence rate of surgically treated localised renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is reported to be approximately 20%. There lack consensus on the optimal surveillance regimen. We assess performance our protocol based upon prognostic histological factors. report outcome first cohort reach 5 years follow up. Method A retrospective analysis was performed patients who underwent a radical or partial nephrectomy between March 2014 and October 2015. Patients were classified as high, intermediate, low risk pathology; with each group undergoing individualised radiological Results 80 pathologically confirmed RCC identified. noted in 24% (n = 19), third those 7) died within 5-year follow-up period. 79% 15) recurrence intermediate high-risk group. 90% recurrences picked up scans, 5% due symptoms related incidentally. 70% occurred 2 post-surgery. 92% 6) had an ASA higher. In whole cohort, total number deaths 13. 38% 5) RCC, 54% other causes 8% 1) cause death unclear. Conclusions Our stratified identified follow-up. Future refinement could include assessment status which may influence schedule surveillance.

Post partial nephrectomy surveillance imaging: an evidence-based approach.

To ensure the early detection of recurrent disease, all patients should undergo routine surveillance following partial nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma. The evidence for surveillance after part...
